Celebrate ChiBeautiful Chicago with DOOR!

As the news coverage of the violence here in Chicago travels around the world we at DOOR Chicago believe that there are untold stories of success, pride, creativity, and strong communities.

Every summer we hire youth and young adults from the very communities the media has chosen to tell a single story about. Through their work at DOOR these young adults help to change the narrative, and share their lived experience with groups that participate in our Urban Education Program.

These positions are more than just a job, they are an opportunity for us to create and develop leaders in our communities. Our summer staff work with youth from around the country to help educate and expose others to the issues of race, poverty, homelessness, hunger, and systematic injustice in Chicago.

Join us and hear some of the stories from these young leaders on how DOOR has impacted their lives!
