San Antonio Pack List

If your group is coming in the summer, you can expect hot temperatures (80-105 degrees Fahrenheit). Rain is unlikely, but always a possibility. Groups coming during the late fall, winter or early spring months will need to be prepared for cool, warm, and hot weather as temperatures vary.

Most of the agencies with whom we work have casual dress codes. In most cases, T-shirts with shorts or jeans are fine. Agencies do request, however, that volunteers do not wear short shorts, halter tops, thin strapped tank tops, or T-shirts with offensive messages. We need to respect this request!! Persons should also keep in mind the work site to which they will be going to select appropriate clothing. (For example, those painting a house will need work clothes.) At most sites you will be active or on your feet and will need tennis shoes, work shoes or sturdy sandals. If you are a spring group it would be prudent to bring a light jacket and pants as it can get a little chilly. (nothing like Canada chilly but chilly to us)
