Public Transportation

Rational for expenses

We depend on you to transport your group to worksites. In order to better prepare for hosting your group, we need to know your transportation plans. Please call the national office if your plans change.

This is for planning purposes only. All costs will be verified by our office upon registration.

Disclaimer: DOOR does not charge extra for this administration, however, the price from the local transit authorities may change and we must pass that along to you as well. You will be notified of any such changes.

Options for transportation while there:

• Individual Vehicles (Vehicles carrying up to 15 passengers)
• Bus (Vehicles carrying 16 or more passengers)
  If your group brings a bus, you will have to purchase public transportation for one third of your group. So if you're bringing 45 people on a bus then plan to purchase public transit passes for 15 of them. We will rotate the 15 passes around so that everyone uses public and everyone uses the bus for the transportation during the week as evenly as possible. Costs vary from $10.00 to $20.00. (Costs are included in the Budget worksheet).
  
  You will also have to budget for using the bus (drivers and gas) during the week to transport groups to and from worksites and evening speakers (This may involve hiring two drivers.)
• Public Transit Space and cost is limited depending on which city you are going to. Space is on a first come first serve basis. You must call for availability. (Costs are included in the Budget worksheet)
• Airplane Arrival You will need to get your group to the church by 6:00 PM on Sunday evening and also provide for transportation during the week-which could be rental vans or public transit (Please select from above options).
